World Dry Clean is a pick-up/delivery garment cleaning and specialty care shop. Our goal is to provide the highest quality service, attention to detail and a positive customer service experience.
Our facility uses the most current eco-friendly washing machines and cleaning process. You can rest assured that your garments will be inspected as soon as they are delivered, during the cleaning process, and when pressed. Our founder has over 30 years of experience and a graduate from renown Morehouse College.
Our Process
We use computerized washing machines and pure, clean water to ensure the best results. We use water biodegradable surfactants and conditioners to clean garments traditionally dry cleaned in toxic-solvents other than water. This is also used to clean delicate hand washables, benefiting you, employees, and the environment.
It Runs In The Family….
In Chicago, 1965, my uncle bought a strip mall with a grocery store, dry cleaners, bar, storefront church and a greasy spoon restaurant. My father was interested in dry cleaning so my uncle let him take over the cleaners. Located on 72nd & Stewart, my parents named the new business “V&J Cleaners” after my brother and I. Upon its opening my dad said to me, “Vernell look at this, it will be yours one day.” The cleaners became our life and we learned everything we could to help our family business. Soon one location turned into several locations, including a small grocery store that was converted into the dry-cleaning plant (79th & Jeffery). After graduating from Morehouse College, I returned to the business. I relocated to Atlanta to escape the Chicago winters in the mid 1990’s and soon after started World Dry Clean Inc.
